We are creating spaces throughout the museum for you to enjoy and use for your meetings, events, gatherings and celebrations.
In the Georgian Grange building our café servery has two rooms for seating and dining. It will be possible to book a table, or book a whole room and enjoy a catered event or meeting.
The meeting room is in a quiet yet central part of the museum with flexible layout and seating to adapt to your needs.
Throughout the museum there are rest areas for informal breakout spaces.
Outdoors we have a beautiful and private walled orchard.
Our café servery can provide catering for your event and we are licenced to serve alcohol in addition to hot and cold drinks.

Social gatherings in the café
Our two café rooms will be a great place to host your special interest group. Knit and natter, bookgroups, crafting, post-natal and friendship groups will be welcome. Some hot-desking spaces will be available. It can also be booked for celebrations, ceremonies, meeting and events.
Meetings and interviews
Our Meeting Room overlooks the museum and will provide a flexible setting for team meetings, interviews and small training events. A simple relaxed venue space that will feature flexible seating arrangement, plenty of natural light, high speed WiFi, in-room refreshments and catering in the café downstairs. Room bookings will open in September.
Celebrations and ceremonies
Hire Shoemakers Museum for your celebration, ceremony or event. There are opportunities to hire the indoor and outdoor spaces outside of opening hours with an exclusive evening package or book the entire museum for your event. During opening hours book one of our café and meeting rooms. We are not licenced for weddings.
Private tour of the collection
From September there will be regular tours of the galleries and archives. You can enhance your visit by booking a private group tour of the Shoemaker’s museum and archives as part of your visit, meeting, or team building activity.
