Assistant Museum Manager PT

Can you help us bring Shoemakers Museum to life? We are looking for an exceptional Assistant Museum Manager, for this exciting role which will help our Museum Manager to manage and enhance Shoemakers Museum and offer a great experience to all of our visitors. The role is 17 hours of a job share (total of 42.5 hours per week) with your main working days being Friday and Saturday.

Shoemakers Museum aims to inspire the world with the family and community stories behind Clarks shoes, celebrating 200-years of history and craftmanship in shoemaking in Somerset. With an extensive collection of over 100,000 objects and a commitment to delivering an exceptional visitor experience, we are seeking a dynamic Assistant Museum Manager to support the Museum Manager to develop the visitor experience and enhance our financial sustainability and our operational effectiveness.  We are especially keen to receive applications from candidates who have experience in managing a café or experience in the management of a hospitality venue.

Assistant Museum Manager PT: 17 hours a week across 7-days, £30,000 pro rata based in Street, Somerset.
Closing Date: 9.30am Monday 25th May – applications will be considered as they come in so we may close applications early for the right candidates
