Free parking in Clarks Village Car Park 2 is available to museum visitors displaying a parking pass which you can collect from the Museum information desk. Shoemakers Museum is open daily from 10am until 5pm.

Accessibility
We aim to be an accessible museum. Shoemakers Museum is wheel chair accessible with level access from the car park. There is lift access within the museum. The café is in the historic Grange building which has been adapted where possible.
There are multiple accessible parking spaces in Clarks Village car park two. Disabled guests displaying a valid blue badge are able to park in any space if accessible spaces are full.
A quiet space area is available.

The museum located just off the A39, Westway in Street. Paid parking is available in Clarks Village Car Park II, and this is free for Shoemakers Museum ticket holders – just collect a parking pass from the ticket office and display it in your car windscreen. The museum entrance is to the right of the pedestrian entrance to Clarks Village. Look out for the Shoemakers Museum signs.

Shoemakers Museum is located at Clarks Village in the village of Street in Somerset, 12 miles from J23 of the M5 and is signposted from the motorway and from the A39. From the M5, exit Junction 23 and follow the A39 to Street/Clarks Village. From the A303, exit the Podimore roundabout and follow the B3151 to Street/Clarks Village.
Clarks Village has 1,400 spaces including accessible spaces and 7 coach bays.
Parking is free for Shoemakers Museum ticket holders but you must display a valid parking pass in your windscreen which can be collected from the museum information desk each time you visit and is valid for 4 hours.
By bus
Buses: Local buses (376, 373, 665) connect Street to Taunton, Yeovil, Bridgwater, Shepton Mallet, Wells, Glastonbury, Bristol and Bath. For real-time schedules and more details you can check the respective bus service websites. The drop off and pick up point is outside the Library on the High Street – A short walk through Clarks Shopping Village will bring you to Shoemakers Museum.
By train
Trains: The nearest train stations are Castle Cary, Taunton and Yeovil (all approximately 30 minutes away by car) and Bristol Temple Meads (around 60 minutes. Please note there is no public transport between Castle Cary and Street. Bristol Temple Meads can be reached by bus. For more information please see www.gwr.com
By foot
From Street High Street pass through Clarks Village, look out for the signs for The Grange Avenue and food court. You can find us directly opposite Pret.

A dog friendly place to visit
The garden and orchard are open free of charge during museum visiting hours. Why not take a pit stop in our cafe for a light lunch or coffee and cake, again no ticket is required.
We are a dog friendly place to visit so that you can bring your companion with you. Well behaved dogs are welcome in the gardens, and we are trialling entry to the museum for your friendly four legged companions. Of course, please keep your dog on a lead and make sure to clear up after your pawsome pooch.
