A Big Day out packed with family-friendly activities, hands-on fun and live music and entertainment, making it the perfect way to spend your Bank Holiday Monday.

Meet the wonderful animals from the Second Chance Petting Zoo – get up close to friendly goats, sheep and rabbits, with donkey rides available for little ones (weight restrictions apply). They will be in residence all day in our orchard.

Enjoy the charm of classic seaside entertainment with Punch and Judy shows running throughout the day, plus inflatables and live music to keep the whole family smiling.

Inside, creativity takes centre stage in our learning space. Kids can design their own birthday shoes and craft a unique birthday hat to take home. Don’t miss our museum-wide scavenger hunt, perfect for exploring together and discovering the story of shoemaking in Street in a fun, interactive way. A day of heritage, creativity, and fun for all ages.

We are celebrating our first year as a museum open to the public. Shoemakers opened in Sept 2025 and its been a wonderful year. Help us celebrate!
