Opening Day

The museum opened its doors on 18 September and is open daily 10-5pm. Explore the history of shoemaking, the origins of the Clarks shoe business and experience life on the factory floor.  A gallery dedicated to advertising history and changing fashions in the buying and selling shoes from the 1950s to the 1980s will take you on a trip down memory lane.

The museum café is open during museum hours of 10-5pm. Whether or not you are a museum ticket holder you are welcome to visit for a coffee, cake and lights bites, enjoying a taste of Somerset in Shoemakers Café.
