Only 6 weeks until Shoemakers Museum opens its doors. You can win a lifetime entry and help us reach our fundraising finishing line.

Shoemakers Museum tells the remarkable story of Clarks, the iconic British shoemaker, and the communities that grew with it. From a small Quaker village to a global brand, this is a story of innovation, resilience and style, stitched together through shoes worn and loved for over 200 years.

Through four permanent exhibitions, interactive spaces, a vibrant programme of events, and more, the museum will celebrate:

  • The legacy of Clarks workers and factories across the South West
  • The evolution of shoemaking – from hand-stitched beginnings to global fashion
  • The cultural impact of Clarks, from school shoes to Jamaica’s dancehalls
  • Stories of community, social reform, and creativity born in Street

We’re nearly there with donations through crowdfunder platform and direct donation – but we would value your help to cross the finishing line in fitting style.

With your support we can

  • Furnish our community spaces and education rooms
  • Landscape our gardens and orchard, with wildlife-friendly areas
  • Provide seating and spaces for learning, reflection and family fun
  • Finalise displays for some of our extraordinary collection of 100,000+ artefacts

The crowdfunder competition is now over and winners will be announced shortly. If you wish to support Shoemakers Museum you can still donate.  Every donation helps  and we want to thank you for stepping forward.
